    Double Gold Medal at FLIWC

    The 2013 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition took place this year in Rochester, New York, where 70 judges sampled nearly 3500 wines from all 50 states plus 12 Canadian provinces and 20 other countries, including Newhall Farm Ice Cider from Reading,Vermont.

    Newhall Farm Ice Cider was one of only two wines in the whole of New England that won this highest of awards. Fresh Tracks 2010 Frontenac Gris was the other Vermont/New England wine.

    The judges of the 2013 blind tasting, known as the second largest wine competition in the US,awarded double gold, gold, silver, and bronze medals to a record number of entrant wines.In its 13th year, FLIWC is also the largest charitable wine competition in the world. It benefits Camp Good Days and Special Times, a nonprofit organization serving children and families dealing with cancer and other life-threatening challenges. 

    Having just won a gold medal at the Great Lakes Cider & Perry Competition (GLINTCAP) held the same weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan, all at Newhall Farm are thrilled to receive this second win, and a Double Gold makes it doubly rewarding.

    Made by Eden Ice Cider in West Charleston, Vermont, and using only select estate grown apples from Newhall Farm in Reading, Vermont, Newhall Farm Ice Cider is available at selected retail stores and through Eden Ice Cider Company.
